The Shot confirms that judge Nadia Mazzarolo will not be returning for the show’s 2017 program which includes the highly anticipated All-Stars iteration in June and the fifth season in September. Mazzarolo joined The Shot for its fourth season in November 2016 and led the girls’ group. In addition to judging, Mazzarolo also assisted with securing venues and was involved with public relations.
This June, 16 finalists from seasons 1-4 of The Shot are returning to compete in the ultimate battle of the best!
The All-Stars showdown will include former winners and top 8 finalists. Some of them are looking to hold onto their titles while others are back for redemption and another opportunity at the top prize.
The Shot executive producer and judge C.J. Allen has launched Allegiance Music, a music business agency that will work alongside solo-artists and groups to help them establish, build and successfully manage their goals and their own businesses. The firm will also function as a talent incubator for independent artists and will facilitate the recording, mastering, production and distribution of albums in partnership with AME Recording Studio.
Fresh off her residency performing at the Shangri-la Muscat resort in Oman, season 1-3 judge and accomplished singer-songwriter Joni NehRita is returning to The Shot for season 4 as guest judge for the callbacks and resident mentor. Joni will join veteran judges Juneyt Yetkiner and C.J. Allen along with new judges Nadia Mazzarolo and Danya Dixon at the judges’ table following the auditions which begin November 4.
